Class Registration & Cancellation Policies

Life happens. And sometimes you just can't make it to class. The cancellation policy at Groovy Threads is there to protect both student and teacher. Basically, it all boils down to this - class fees pay teacher wages.

  1. Registration including payment is required to reserve your seat in class.
  2. If you do not attend your class fees will not be refunded or transferred.
  3. Registrations are non-transferable.
  4. You will only receive a full refund with 48 hours advance notice.
  5. Classes may be canceled if less than three students are registered.
  6. If we cancel a class, you are entitled to a full refund or transfer to another class.
  7. It's expected that your sewing machine / serger is in good working order. Refunds will not be issued if you arrive to class with a machine in a state of disrepair.
  8. Ontario HST of 13% will be added to class registration fee

Classes with three or less students may be cancelled. Should this happen, we'll issue a full refund. Should you need to withdraw from a class, we need 48 hours notice to provide a refund.

Weather Cancellations

When school cancels classes, we do too. During times of inclement weather we may be forced to cancel a class. In that event, class will either be rescheduled or a refund will be issued. Please call the store for information.
